The following tutorials demonstrate how to perform various tasks using the UH College of Pharmacy Student Site. These are (hopefully!) not boring page turners - you won't feel you are reading Moby Dick from a computer screen. You will get to see how certain things are done, and sometimes a chance to participate in the tutorials.

The majority of these tutorials are expected to take no longer than a few minutes each to complete.

These tutorials should work on most systems, but may take a moment to download if you have a dial-up internet connection.

In order to get the most from these tutorials, take the time to go through each slide. They do not take long and they may contain important points or activities.

Note: This site will (likely) only work 100% in Internet Explorer. If you are having errors on certain pages (such as with the top menu bar), check to see if you are using IE 6 (Windows XP) or IE 5.5 (all other Windows operating systems). You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer here. (There have been some isolated reports of various problems when upgrading to IE 6 on operating systems other than Windows XP. If you are not running Windows XP, it is recommended to use IE 5.5)

Using these tutorials:

Each slide in the tutorial is timed by how much text is displayed on the screen. This may be too fast or too slow for some people. If so, you may use the navigational buttons, similar to those on a tape player or VCR. On each tutorial, you will find the four buttons shown on the right, which will appear in the upper right side of the tutorial.
The top button will "Rewind" the tutorial all the way back to the beginning The next button (with two arrows pointing left) will take you back one slide The next button is for pausing (and then playing) the tutorial The last button (with two arrows pointing right) will take you forward one slide And finally, a fraction is displayed - "Slide you are on/Total # of slides"
The tutorials themselves may link to other websites or tutorials. If you click on one of these links, the tutorial will pause, and the link will open in a new browser window. Just press the Pause/Play button to resume the tutorial when you're ready to!
